Shuddering at Maea's words, Amun grimaced and glanced behind them towards the swamp they'd left. "When you put it like that it's a bit too close to the mud monster for comfort." Sighing, he shook his head and turned to face the tree again.

Continuing his circle around the trunk, he arched an eyebrow. He called out to her without looking looking. "Really? Are you sure it was just a kid? Who lets their kid just--" that was all he managed to get out before the mud splattered all over the back of his head.

Sputtering, he whirled to face her. Narrowing his eyes, he took one step in her direction. "Oh, it. Is. On!" There was plenty of mud on his body, so he just scooped some up from his boots. Activating his phasing upgrade to prevent a body or headshot, he lobbed his clump of sticky dirt at her.

For now we're happy if not overjoyed
And we'll accept the things we cannot avoid
