Her mask breaks with an incredulous, sudden brow raise and a sharp laugh. “I doubt you can do anything more serious than the war that’s already coming.” Holding tight to the urge to roll her eyes and shut the door in the Outlander’s face, Wessex lingers for a moment in indecision. She isn’t busy, per se, but he doesn’t know that. “One second.” Turning back to the dark interior, the Wraith lets the door shut behind her for a moment and tries to quickly run through a pro and con list about engaging with Darkeye again, knowing what their last encounter was like. Her eyes go to a clock, and then a built in excuse to leave, and so she clenches her jaw and tightens her fists and turns back to the door. Standing in the frame, it’s clear she isn’t inviting him in, but she doesn’t yet turn him away. “What kind of questions?”
