"I'll start with heavy bleeding - first you'll want to check whether there's anything embedded in the wound. If there is, don't remove it but be careful not to press down on it either. Keep pressure to either side of the injury." As she speaks, she starts to fold up some bandages into a wad. "If there isn't anything embedded, keep pressure on the wound until the bleeding stops."
