Darkeye wanted the wood for the village for Sunjata and had started cutting trees. The other trees around the village were trying to move away and some were trying to cut the other trees around the village. The axes he had made for just this purpose did the job well.
But the moving trees exposed more and more paths, and it was hard to find one's way. When he heard another person tampering with the trees and saying shadows, he was startled for a moment, but it could have been a deception due to the shadows being cast. Was it a demon or a devil?
