Well aren't you intelligent little beans? Safrin Safrins, Ludo Ludos, and neither Melita nor Maeve have time to notch or release arrows this round (sorry, ladies). It's with a keening shriek that rumbles and trembles across the desert that the strike to Daddy Landshark's eyes hits true, disorientating and blinding it.
Which is whereDarkeye's landshark blood comes in very handy. It's only a smidgen of blood and it isn't a long way that he can throw it, but it's enough to stay the shark from attacking this round - it's too busy blindly following the scent.
As for Evie? By the skin of her teeth, her dagger strikes true, though in the large scale of things the shark thinks of it as little more than an irritation. It's a bit busy.
Good thing she's managed to hold on, though, because she'd not have had time to prepare her earth magic this round. And unfortunately, falling from a great height does not constitute an environmental effect, so the regional feat would have been useless too.
