If she wasn’t holding on with all her might, Evie might waste breath shouting back that she’s not exactly wanting to be on the massive landshark. But seeing as this time - as made evident by Melita’s yell, which is massively helpful when Evie can’t see past the flying dirt and huge fin - aerial attacks are coming into play, the Evergreen decides now is the best time to jump for it.
Abandoning her knife she rolls onto her back and lets go, hoping to slide down the back of the landshark to get as close to the earth before she’s inevitably bucked off. Calling in her earth magic again she bids it to rise towards her feet in a formless lump to try and cushion the blow - not exactly a pillow, but any distance she can minimize means less of a chance of breaking something. The others can attack for now, Evie uses her turn chance to try and get off the world’s worst surfboard.

Evie rolls onto her back and lets go of her knife, attempting to slide down the landshark’s back to get as close to the ground as possible to minimize distance, and uses her Earth magic to try and get a dirt-pillar of sorts closer to her to break her fall sooner with less damage.
