Oooof. Okay, kiddos. Unfortunately for Darkeye, he jumps the gun a bit and throws his weapons before the landshark surfaces. They strike at the sand where the creature has just burrowed away, but they don't hit it.

And unfortunately for Evie and the ladies, whilst her idea is sound, she's just plain outta luck when it comes to who Daddy Shark might target. The earth moves smoothly around Darkeye, but it reveals little more than sand.

Which is when the landshark heaves itself up and out of the ground at Maeve, just missing her (and we can thank it's sorry state for that, probably). It's sheer bulk does knock her out of the way, though, and she's out of range for an attack next round.
