'I hope they do.' Remi agrees, tilting his head into the whisper of Ronin's fingers before sighing. At least they could talk about his twins within Ronin threatening to combust or tear up part of the Greatwood, but raising them was still an uphill battle at the best of times.

With his lashes fluttering as if there was something caught in his eyes, Remi releases the breath he'd been holding with a slow nod. "Alright." He says, nodding again before reaching out his other hand to softly place it against Ronin's cheek. In the blue of his husband's eyes he could see Aoife's stare, could feel the warmth of the blood pooling from his own neck, and could remember the misplaced hatred and vitriol they'd shown one another those early days in Torchline.

Though his lips flinched into a smile there was no warmth in it; just relief and love.
