From the cloud cover overhead shoots a black smear that is moving incredibly fast for how large it is. Flying at Wessex, the dragon smashes its tail against her, sending the ascended askew and launching her 10 or so feet into the air before she falls back down. It's easily the hardest the demigod has been hit in a very long time.
Unless Wessex tries to bait the creature into staying, the black dragon will disappear back into the clouds.
