Masterful, powerful, and completely at ease, extending long arms and limbs in mighty strokes and tides until he could feel the rising tension. A smirk commandeered his mouth as he heard the laughter, edged and etched in uncertainty, in trepidation, for his machinations. At least these plots and notes of deviousness weren’t dipped or etched in derision, pettiness, or contempt; amusement for amusement’s sake, a rise and fall in how far they could push and cajole.
