Elyna didn’t need a light, since she could see perfectly fine in the gloom. Apparently her companions didn’t have that ability; while she’d known that objectively, she constantly forgot that not everyone had the same capabilities that she did. "I have night vision, remember? There’s a long corridor, with sections of the room being cordoned off by curtains." She probably should’ve led with that statement, but it wasn’t her fault everyone else seemed inferior to her. Then, the light bloomed from the ring and she sighed. The sooner they figured out whether this baby was a monster or not the better. So instead of searching for medical supplies—which Elyna wouldn’t have recognized anyway—she decided to just throw caution to the window and speed forward, running towards the origin of the sound. Still fairly confident in her ability to at the very least survive or at least overcome any threat here, she hoped it wouldn’t take her long to get to the bottom of this.
