The eagerness and fervor of destruction molded its way through all of them, until even the shyest or least demonstrative of the soldiers, were offering up whoops and glee, fists pumping into the air as the machines made their mark. Even Deimos drew a smile at the layers of chaos and demolition along the outskirts – wondering, hoping, that at some point it would be enough. Nothing ever was, but if they had themselves in line, if they could continue with these efforts, perhaps Halo would feel far more capable and defended than ever before.
