The merriment, comradery, and juvenile tactics were enough to keep the flow of ice moving at a faster clip – the Sword watched and didn’t even bother hiding his mischievous smile as they went teetering and sliding across the rime. Some hastened far off to the left, through either Boreal’s efforts or their own mishaps, some were perfectly controlled as though it’d been years of experience in handling shuffleboard proportions, and others meandered in the middle. His eyes narrowed as he sent another purposefully, swiftly, towards one of Evie’s, content to watch it batter behind the sled. But there were others amidst them that did far poorer, and he witnessed one of the workers’ rapidly spin out of place and stop nowhere close to their vessel. “Shame,” he grinned and boomed. “I think we have enough. We can start loading.” And with a number of them already close to the container, the job would go much smoother.
