"Well, when you put it like that... alright, perhaps it isn't as interesting as I first thought." Ronin grins. Especially on a night like tonight, with his hand linked with Remi's and two lanterns glowing and bobbing away into the cloudless, Longheat sky. Sighing so deeply that it drags his shoulders down, the Huntsman leans companionably against the man he loves above all else, and there's mischief in his eyes as Remi begins to protest.
"Never enough," he purrs, turning his head to kiss the other man's cheek. "And this is only small..." Reaching up with his free hand, Ronin grabs something from his shirt pocket.
"I don't remember where I read this, or maybe I heard it from Tobi once, but there's this Outlander myth that says that two people who are meant to be together are connected by a red thread. It can weave and tangle, but it will never break. The red thread of fate, they call it." Opening his hand, Ronin reveals a thin and delicate braid of crimson, long enough to wrap around both of their wrists a couple of times.
"I couldn't give you your wedding ring again, so I thought this might work instead," he explains. "I was going to cut it in two so we could each have half, but... if I was going to do that, I couldn't do it without you."
