The youth bristled when naught more could be found – with the looming voices and the commands of future intervals. Blood in the water and in the falls and in their ears, ringing along with the unknown pressing in around them. She could feel something gnawing along the pit of her stomach, but couldn’t name it, couldn’t share it, could only ball her fists down by her sides and bite her tongue, feel it slide against her teeth. She nodded to a few comrades and constituents, but otherwise, sharply turned on her heel, wondering just how far all of this was going to go.
