and sore must be the storm

Flying gave her nothing but the span of surroundings – glancing along intertwining drops of water, amongst and amidst pools of crimson. But there was naught up here to entertain the masses, nor snag as sagacity; a fool’s errand, as she scanned, and then hastened downward, granting only a shake of her head for the lack of information. Perhaps uselessness dragged at her too, as the rest of the crowd began to disperse, always trying and always striving and not having anything to show for it –

But maybe, after the war, if she survived…

With that thought, the bird hastened onward again, heading towards caverns and Stormbreak’s stony familiarity.
