Considering Noah’s shifting roles, Deimos wouldn’t ever begrudge him for not noticing other altered stances. Neither the Sword nor Evergreen ever really hid their relationship – maybe an open secret of sorts by now – but the Sentinel had other, far more important things going on, than to wonder what the Wardens had been up to.
“Why should I?” came on a rogue, snickering response to Evie’s outcry, watching as the wave pummeled and pooled nearby, slamming into rocks and concaves, soaking the bottom cuff of his pants. Amused all the more, and beginning to refill his bucket, Noah’s intervals of play (a rarity, perhaps) were enough to spurn Deimos onward with his plots and schemes, indifferent to the undulations and droplets cascading his way.
Going purposefully around Evie’s shield in quick, rapid motions, almost as if the water parted and permitted his swift motions, he aimed to dump the bucket right over the top of her head. Not to leave the Sentinel out, another oscillation rallied and turned, intending to send the motion in his direction.
