The dragon's pride has a smile curling at the corners of Fox's mouth as well (and maybe it's a little bit of amusement, but Boreal doesn't need to know that), the hunter turning back to the road ahead. "The Wet Grounds," he repeats in an ironically dry tone, smirking to Tal and rolling his shoulders against the telltale ache that will undoubtedly settle in by tomorrow. "I'll be sure to let you know, providing ravens can fly to Halo without freezing."
Both men are terrible at receiving praise, as it so happens, and so before the response to a compliment can stick in his throat too much, Fox is saved by the familiar slope of buildings up ahead. "Well, this is me," he murmurs. "It was good to meet you, Tal. If you ever need a hunting partner in the Grounds, ask around for me."
And if Fox ever needs a skyship or a man to bait an allogator, well, it would appear that Tal is his man.
