You never told someone to be anxious before you said your piece) but thankfully smiled as she actually heard the suggestion. He had expected her to accept this one, really; he knew she had enjoyed their first time working together and suspected they were in some ways kindred spirits, that she liked being admired as much as he did. "Ah! Then it is decided. And of course I will give you proper payment. I would be a poor artist and leader if I did not."
There was a temptation to end the conversation here on the high note, but he had trapped himself by saying there were two questions at the beginning. With his question asked he anxiously rubbed his fingers over the soft lining of the couch, waited for an answer.
