Would he come back to Torchline or do you think he’s too stubborn for that?” He doesn’t know if Jack would be the kind to cut his losses and return the second that he knew it wasn’t going to work out in the Grounds.
But he can’t help but to ask another question too, this one a little softer as he scans his niece. “Have you been back to the Grounds since?” He’d avoided it like it was a plague, too afraid of seeing things that weren’t the same, that might try and warp his mind into thinking that nothing between he and Nate had been real.
