In some portion of his mind, Deimos sought to remind Noah that laying on the ground was a poor position in battle. It tended to leave one open and vulnerable to all variety of attacks – and though he knew the Sentinel was fully aware of these implications, the situation was still just as amusing. With a rogue smirk, the Sword watched as Noah seemed to wind through his possibilities. Were this not a spar, it would’ve been easy to trounce upon skulls or stomachs; during an actual crusade or campaign, the advisor would have to bring his adversary down to his level, or maneuver quickly, to avoid a devastating assault.
And he’d give Noah all the credit in the world an attempt – but instead of reeling away, the Warden blocked the incoming blow by shifting his spear over, and permitting it to take the rogue hit.
Before rotating it downward again, angling to smack Noah’s ribs.
