Sohalia
The man's continued refusal to offer so much as a hint of an apology rankled, and Sohalia looked back down at her journal, her brows knitted together in a frown and her cheeks flushed with anger. She set it gently aside, leaving it open in the vain hope that the sun would help to dry the pages and that her notes would still be somewhat legible afterwards. When she looked up again, it was to find the stranger looking her over in a way that made her entirely uncomfortable, and she crossed her arms over her chest defensively, suddenly tense. She was beginning to regret having ventured out at all, particularly to somewhere remote where she was, yet again, alone with a strange man.
"No," she said shortly, trying not to let her nerves show. Fake it till you make it, right? But then her manners got the best of her, and she added, "I'm just visiting. I go back home soon." And nothing in this world would convince her to freely divulge where home was. The last thing she needed was some half-naked psychopath showing up at her door. She had enough problems to deal with without this man adding to them.
