From being an Abandoned who had rarely left the Hollowed Grounds, to embracing the call of adventure, to dying and being reborn first as an Ascended and then as an Ancient, Maea has gone through quite the amount of changes in her life. One thing remains common, though, in her attempts to find out just where she belongs; she’s always had a craving for knowledge which has brought her to so many places and to meet so many people here in Caido. We can’t wait to see what else is in store for her!
Congratulations, Maea!

Losing track of time, the other side of midnight Don't know how it hit us so hard
Noah looked Deimos and Evie up and down with skeptical eyes for a few moments before crouching down in the new position. His lips kept pursed, though, and his brows furrowed together slightly. It was difficult for him to compose himself when, between having little sleep and the desire to be home, the two of them were ready to play and keep them from Halo longer. Logically, Noah knew they were making no slight against him -- they loved him, truly, and didn't want to harm him. But as he took the lid off of his jar to continue harvesting dew, he couldn't help but stew in his own mind.
Tapping flowers and stems alike, Noah kept his mouth shut and worked. As blink hares continued to jump around, Noah protected his jar like an ursur on a kill. He hovered and curved over the jar and the water, pulling it close to his body to keep any hares from spilling it as they jumped and poofed and kicked and bucked all around. Standing, and placing the lid on again, Noah kept the jar close to him.
Noah collects more dew and when he thinks he has enough he puts the lid on again.
Something 'bout the way you're pausing all the chaos
Oblivious to Noah's odd reaction - though not Alys', which makes her smile - she similarly misses Deimos wrinkling his nose at her (though that one was planned). Not that it stops her from doing the exact same over her shoulder at him, accompanied by a flash of her tongue in playful defiance. Behaving is a bore, especially when having fun is the only thing that makes this entire tedious task go by a little faster. Funneling dew into jars isn't exactly invigorating or useful for team-building.
With Deimos' command in her ears she carefully manipulates the dew with her magic once more, hoping to get just that little bit more into her jar before she screws on the cap and looks at the level through the glass to determine if it is satisfactory.

Evie uses her magic again to get a little more in her jar before screwing on the cap.
let us live like flowers, darling wild and beautiful and drenched in sun
what tried to destroy you didn't have the strength
As the morning pressed onward, the sun rising higher in the sky, their time had come to an end. Unaware of Noah’s sentiments, other than some disgruntlement across the bond (and if he didn’t want to say anything or be upfront about it, then Deimos would choose to ignore it), the Sword glanced, giving a brief inspection, to everyone’s jars. They received nods, and a satisfied smile, content with what they’d been able to snag from such small and meager amounts of water. “Good. Wehave plenty.” As long as all the wares stayed capped – and he secured the lid on his own too.
Eyes flickering towards the horizon again, he jutted his head in the direction of the Oerwoud. “One last stop,” as a rallying cry, and then they could return home.

Jars are filled and the group will be heading to the Oerwoud next. Stay tuned for the upcoming thread!
