"Do they now." Remi wonders a touch skeptically if only because there's nothing that strikes him as being more useless and mundane than filling any stretch of silence with talk about the weather. But then, that's why Ronin was the charming one and he was the Grinch up on the mountain these days.
Just as he thought it might, talk of Sunjata has Remi's blood cooling significantly despite the warmth of Ronin's head against his shoulder and the way the Supernova's fingers weave between his curls. "Ah." Finding his shoulders tensing, Remi reaches for the bottle he'd brought to the table, removing the cork with one partially taloned finger. Though it had been his idea, the Lullaby couldn't have said what he expected from Ronin and Sunjata's conversation, nor what he'd even hoped the outcome might be. Bringing the bottle to his lips, Remi closed his eyes and let the amber fire flow down his throat in a desperate attempt to temper the rising tension.
"I will be honest, it is strange for me to see you two together again. Nearly our marriage ended over a fight that involved him, and he was part of the reason you almost died in Stormbreak." Remi admitted in a soft voice, careful not to let their conversation be overheard by curious ears. "But-" He paused, his words lingering like the fragile threads of a cobweb as the Lullaby tilts his head as much as he's able given Ronin's head on his shoulder. "If you want to be friends again, I do not want to stop you. I may just..." Remi's fingers tightened around Ronin's, pulsing with a mix of affection and guardedness. "..be a bit grumpy about it in the beginning."
