Well this is awkward.
Hot off his date with Sohalia the night before, Koa is in a perfect position to be cut down to size. Cue the presence of the Doubletake- and oh, he does do a double take when he spots Flora, just throwing knives in the training grounds like gorgeous piece of danger she is.
And here's Koa, shoving a sandwich into his face as he waltzes around in a two-day-old uniform, Pipsqueak perched upon his shoulder and stealing bites of bread.
She's just as gorgeous as he remembers her, all blonde and leggy and comfortable in her skin - skin he once knew the touch of, when he was young and an idiot and didn't know how to treat a girl well. Now he's older and wiser, though still an idiot, and it is perhaps this idiocy that leads him to walk toward Flora instead of away, the last piece of sandwich shoved hastily into his mouth.
"Hey-mmph-hi," Koa greets her with warm wariness, the sandwich swallowed as he comes to a stop. "It's, uh, it's been a minute." He's smiling, as usual, but his eyes flick uneasily over her knives. "What brings you to Stormbreak?"
Hopefully not an overwhelming desire to stab him, one year on.
