There was a deep and dark frustration that turned into a gilded fury at Andromeda’s powers missing the mark. The bushes were stubborn and the betta growled her response. But she didn’t change her tune much — only made it louder and deeper and more harmonious.

The mer raised her arms and twisted them. She flicked her wrists and turned her bent fingers. The air moved to her will. She made several, smaller blades of air and sent them more at the base of the undergrowth. Determination glinted in her emerald eyes, a stubbornness formed from the depths of the ocean. All of the pressure that the water pressed on their underwater city was in Andy’s rage and grit to finish this project.

Andy rinses and repeats but this time with muscle

It was undoubtedly a good sign for their lucky rum fountain that Harper had gotten so lucky with the merchants. Of course, he had a winning smile, a charming personality, and a sincere care for the citizens which helped to sway the hearts and minds of even the old curmudgeons who worked in the Port's back streets like this one. And after all the work they'd done to clean the area up, it would have been frustrating if someone had decided to take advantage of the new real estate to move in before they were able to come back with the rocks and water for the fountain. So Harper's sign and careful roping off of the area ensured that no one could claim ignorance of what the area had been improved for, and their chosen location would remain available to them in the future.

Andromeda, meanwhile, had finally gotten serious. Now that she was focusing her ire on the cocky foliage it truly did not stand a chance. Blade of air sliced low and sharp, whistling dangerously as they sliced to the heart of the matter. The plants could only bend so far; when the blades sheared them off right at their bases they had no way to flex with the wind and instead could only fall, cut cleanly flush with the pavers and sand.

Which left Hadama to take out the trash. He reached out with his water magic to wash the freshly-cut plant leaves towards him, and used a touch of magic to melt the ice ball he had created earlier. Then he deftly separated the burnables from those items which might yet be of use, or which could be melted or broken down for future uses. Borrowing a punt from the fish-seller's grill, he set the organic burnables on fire, using it to burn away the bases of the plants Andy had just removed. The other items he stowed into a bag to deliver to craftsment who could make use of the raw materials.

By the time he finished and looked around the signage was complete and Andy's ire had been fully vented. He nodded with pleasure at the space that they had created for their future fountain. "Thank you," he rumbled to them both. "I will go buy the drinks if someone can cut the watermelon."

We did it! Thank you, team :D Thread will remain open for 48 hours for final posts.
