The entire conversation had been sobering in a way. As he recollected what he and Rory and the others had done during Longnight, she listened with captivation. She recognized the name Amalia, and part of her was proud of the woman for going out with Rory to fix the perch. From what she could remember, Amalia had been a quiet (dare she think anxious, too?) woman. But regardless of who was there, they had made it. Had fixed the perch up perfectly for the Sparkbird to come. But she listened in sympathy at what the monsters had done, a shiver racing down her spine at the invading of thoughts and bodies the creatures had done.

But she agreed with him, a weapon against them seemed true. Considering how safety had come over Longnight once the Sparkbird had landed on its perch. Still, she smiled to Jigano with a quiet nod of understanding of dark times and trying events. And as she suggested a banner for Rory, Jigano seemed keen on the idea too. So she nodded, prepping the next banner as she listened to everything that Rory had, her brows lifted with every check. Ponies, dogs, a million goats! She too chuckled at that, but nodded. “A peace offering, if you will.” She offered with a wink to Jigano with a gentle, easy smile to bright away the tension of his recollection of Longnight.

She prepped her threads and waited while Jigano picked out the colors to use and what kind of design – bringing out the charcoal yet again to make a small sketch of the design he chose. When he suggested what he had in mind, she offered him a beaming grin. “Lay it on me, Loreseeker.” She challenged with a laugh and a wink. Her hands moved quickly now, pausing occasionally to pet the happy gryphon as she sketched out a galloping horse, with long locks for a mane and tail, and separated the mane and tail in ways that she could lay out where the rainbow colors would go.

Once she had finished that, she reached for the colors and inspiration that Jigano had given, starting at first with the royal purple for the body and cutting it to size before placing it on and beginning to stitch it in. Once she had finished that, she moved onto the hooves (choosing to finish the easier parts first before tackling on the rainbows). When the body and hooves were in place, she grinned to Jigano. “Alright! Rainbow time.” She chimed, deciding that if she went in order she could match the mane and tail with the same flow and amount of colors. Luckily, these strips could be smaller, perhaps even braided to give more texture, but she’d figure it out when she got there.

Rexanna truly was a wonderful listener, and she had a knack for easing the conversation away from dark memories and back towards the light. He nodded in relief at her mention of a 'peace offering' and gladly set his mind to the task of making it perfect for his blond friend. Between Rexanna's flying fingers and his deft use of the scissors they soon had most of the banner made, and he looked over it admiringly before they added the more difficult rainbow mane and tail.

"When it comes to needle and thread, you might as well have creation magic as fine as anything Remi can boast!" he complimented her with a teasing grin, Isuma purring her agreement as she stretched half out of Rexanna's lap, as bonelessly relaxed as any kitten. They set to the next part with a will, cutting and positioning pieces with a bit of discussion over color placement and a bit of laughter over the gryphlet's tiny snores as she dozed off in the bright sun and warm lap and good company.

By the time the banner was finished the clouds were beginning to move in, threatening a brief but soaking spring shower, and so Jigano collected his gryphlet, helped Rexanna get her supplies safely inside, and then retreated back to his interrupted errands, whistling cheerfully as he jogged to avoid the first fat drops of rain.
