He motioned with his head for Alys to follow him as he pulled an arrow from his hip quiver. ”Weapon or magic ready, all the time.” he gave her the final command before falling silent and letting his eyes drift over the rolling frozen land, arrow nocked. Eira went out ahead of them, great wings carrying her high and far.
