His lips part to offer further conversation (not reassurance, why would he do that?) only for thunder to belt out instead.

Ducking his head as if to try to see past the awning for more lightning, for a second the angel might catch the barest hint of blue in his otherwise bible black eyes, but it's gone as quickly as it appears.
