He offered apologetic pats to his pockets in search of his ticket, earning a stern glance from the usher for holding up the line. The angel responded with a bright, beaming smile as he finally located the ticket and handed it over. He stepped into the theatre, removed his hat with a flourish, and used one hand to ruffle out his curls, as if to make sure they were at their most angelic.
