It had been a lot – the turmoil over the rumors that had spread. Edmund’s parentage had never been the worst of the rumors Sunjata had experienced in Torchline, but it had still chafed at old wounds caused by the very people he ruled over for so long. Regardless, it’s nothing that neither of them had much part in and what was in the past was in the past as far as he was concerned. He’d still be someone that Edmund could rely on should he ever need it and he hopes that the young man knows it all the same.
