“I hope so.” She adds by mention of the stones preventing the collapse. Her iceberg gaze snaps back up to his face, taking in the streaks of rain and the mud and finding herself distracted by him when she realizes he’s said something. “Mm, well, if i get trapped you can laugh too.” It’s far more likely to slip in the mud than get trapped, but she feels obligated to add it in, too.
So saying, she gets to work. Grabbing stone after stone, slipping them into place in the channel.
