They're taking the cowards way out by letting better lyricists fill in the words they want to say, but Harper has had seasons now of embracing exactly that character trait. Though he does lay his forehead against the back of her head, fingers twirling the ends of her hair around his knuckles, and smile wryly in the dark.
"You don't sound like you're trying to relax enough to sleep," he accuses gently, keeping a playful lilt to his tone so as not to bring the mood much further down. "I'm going to lose all my best material early in the game if you keep resisting."
