Her voice echoed gently around the walls, velvet and silk, and he paused as she spoke about the dungeons and the later parts of her history. But I dared to disagree with the world as my creator had made it, and I was punished accordingly." He narrowed his eyes, though his grip on her hand was as gentle as ever. "Twisted, outcast, thrown into the bowels of the underworld. A place of fire and pain. What would you do, if that were you? Would you let it beat you down? Or would you force yourself to thrive?"
