Maeve
Things aren't going much better for Maeve either. Work has been a good enough distraction, but there is only so much drinking and fucking a girl can do. The Madame is still feeling the keen sting of a broken heart, but she's trying her best to push through. Mostly because she has no other option. There isn't time to just lay down and mope. She has a business to run. Today though? Today she's moping.
A knock on her door is the only thing that rouses her, Amelia's soft voice filtering through the wood, "Maeve? Someone named Aurelia is asking for you? Do you want me to send her away?" The Madame sighs softly, pushing up from the couch she's lounging on, discarding her now tepid tea, running her fingers through her hair to smooth it down. "No, I'll come over." She replies, opening the door with a wane smile, schooling her features into a smooth mask.
The Madame enters the main longue, spotting Aurelia just in time to see her fumble with the vase, spilling water and flowers across the smooth wooden top. Her lips twitch and she barely contains the huff of laughter that threatens to push past her lips. "Who would of thought you would still be nervous to come see me here." She teases, trailing around the woman to take a seat across from her, leaning lightly against the table. "Everything okay?" Maeve asks softly, finally looking her over, unable to miss the way she fidgets and squirms at the table.
