Sure, he had to be proud of her (even more so because as his step-daughter, she'd basically always have the upper hand on their relationship now that she was old enough to understand just how precarious familial ties could be), but she appreciated it just the same.
Though she does her best to look entirely nonplussed at Jack 's greeting, her heart somersaults before plummeting into her stomach. "Eww, never." She says, scrunching her nose and shaking her head. "It is Queen, though." And even as she says it, he imagines his mouth in the shape of the word, moaning her new title with his hand around her throat. Though her cheeks flush, the Doubletake shrugs coquettishly before nodding her head toward the bar where she's sure Jack is more than capable of helping himself.
"Gratzie," Flora trills to Mateo, before melting against Hotaru. Whatever parental display the Valkyrie is aiming for, her daughter plays her role with zeal. Rising onto her toes to wrap her arms about her mother's shoulders, the girl is all laughter and joy as her skin is moisturized by maternal love. "I thought Queen was alright, especially since valkyrie was already taken." Flora agreed, pressing one last kiss against her mother's cheek before feigning reluctance to let her go.
Looking up (and up and up) at Sunjata, Flora's shoulders slumped somewhat in an awww shucks gesture that was only vaguely convincing. This had been months of not years in the works, and were it not for the impressive congregation gathered around her now, she'd not have accomplished it. "Thanks." She murmured, feeling a flush heat the bridge of her nose as she grinned up at the Flood, finding his praise all the more alluring for his newness in her life.
"Thanks girl!" Flora shouted back across the crowd, waving to Melita and mouthing something that vaguely looked like I'll make you queen in no time.
Turning on her heel at the sound of her friend's voice, Flora picked outSohalia in a flash and danced her way over to her. "Thanks babe!" She trilled, wrapping her arms around the Heart's tiny waist and drawing her near. Glancing down at the package with a look of confusion, Flora of course tore into it immediately. Gasping loudly at what she found inside, the new queen immediately placed the crown on her head only to find Sohalia had slipped away. Well, there would be time for thank-you's later, but for now, the Doubletake arranged her hair around the golden circlet before turning to the others.
"Done and done." She purred to Edmund, flashing him a smile, before spinnng and waving to Talyson. "Thanks!"
