He nearly goes cross-eyed with the closeness before a brighter bark of a laugh leaves him and he sets his glass down, collecting hers when she’s finished to grab a new glass as to not impeded the tastes of the rest of the barrels. “Very good.” He praises with amusement, leaning past her to pour the next barrel for them. “This one is a little bit bittersweet for me.” He offers, missing Torchline in the crooks and crannies of his heart. But how better to make a tribute for it than to craft his own special kind of whiskey?
