"I don't think it is always fair what the gods do, no." Noah said, wanting to smile and tell her how unfair his particular god had treated him before.
"But I would also have a hard time claiming that the gods have turned away from all mages, anymore." He said, sucking on his teeth.
"I wouldn't claim, either, that the abandoned have the gods favor as the accepted and attuned do." But there was something to be said for the abandoned in Noah's life who had earned their way to a seat of favor with the gods, just as he had in his demi-hood. Sah, Hotaru, Deimos, and even Evie all came to his mind when he thought of his point. When it came to mer and ancients, however, Noah had a different take.
"I think that could be part of it." The threat part.
The hissing immediately caught his attention, though, among their conversation. Trained and honed eyes locked immediately on the snake and he warned Maea to watch out, but she was already dodging the void serpent. He did not take his eyes off of it, but he disagreed with her. "No, I don't think so. I have a hard time viewing anything that Vi hates with any kind of favor." He said, dodging the creature in a similar manner as the ancient, but then using his spear to try and slow the snake's forward pursuit so they could catch it.
