Harper knows it's unlikely Sohalia is anywhere in Stormbreak, but how can he be certain if he doesn't at least make an effort to strike it off the list? And if he dies, it will be much the same as Lena - they will know who had done it and why. It doesn't stop his face from twisting bitterly as he looks away from her eyes as the confirmation that she'd die for something that, to him, means nothing when weighed against her life. always being led
"I don't agree. Rae can always create more, and they haven't asked us to try and stop the infection." Not like Vi, who had bid them to plant roses when the sickness from the Voice had presented itself. Harper doesn't know much about Rae's realm and maybe that's where the sentence needs to end but he can't help voicing his opinion even if it's unfair and uneducated. "So many have died for them. I don't want you to be one of them." What had come, in the end, of those who had died when the tower in Stormbreak fell during the Ascended attack? It feels like nothing had mattered in the end. No real justice. Sighing, Harper rakes a hand through his hair, a touch too long now from his time spent searching. "So you're just going to keep going about as normal? Is there...anything I can do, to help?" To help her or Stormbreak, it didn't matter. Anything that makes him feel a little less useless in the face of her immovable faith.
