Although his experience with Anju was recent, he didn't feel that he could contribute regarding her allegiance and he's never met Dahlia before. His only understanding of her was what he'd heard from others. None of which was good.
The reciting of Dahlia's words confirmed Zavien's suspicions even more, causing him to narrow his eyes. Her blatant lie regarding Sohalia made him question her intentions of making Stormbreak the 'best.' How could they trust any word she said? It made him scoff, dismissing the diplomatic speech as deception to appease the masses. "I'd hate to see what she has planned." His head shook in a mix of disgust and fear, an uncommon feeling for Zavien.
With talk of allies and correspondences, he paused to carefully consider how his next words might be perceived. "Before coming back to Stormbreak... I met the merfolk's king, Hadama. I agreed to..." He took a second to choose his words carefully. "...keep him informed on the activities in Stormbreak." Looking to Lena and Koa, he shrugged his shoulders. "He said he was an acquaintance of Ronin's and seemed trustworthy enough, being concerned with the Family and spread of the Void. Another leader could make a good ally." Although the implication of him being a spy lingered, he'd never jeopardize Stormbreak. Zavien only hoped that having a large web of contacts may prove to prevent his home from falling further into the enemy's clutches.
