Lena opened her mouth to argue the sentiments, prepared and ready to defend one of her oldest friends, but then closed it quickly; realizing Anju would probably take it as a compliment. “Fair enough,” she mused, but she also wasn’t intimidated by the woman – she’d known her too long. “You’ll still learn a lot from them,” regardless of opposing styles. Maybe that was a good thing, to have so many different ways of fighting? She couldn’t be certain, and likely never would be.
She smiled at the excitement and potential of dragon companions, considering her sister had once been bonded to one, and there were a multitude around simply based on the Dragoons. “Who knows,” she hummed. “I found Mittens in a snow fort.” A shrug followed; it was the most simplistic explanation she could deliver from the strange series of events that had led to the bonding. “And no – I’ve heard of many thinking the same thing. Does that mean you wouldn’t ask a god for one?” He’d want to find it on his own?
