(It can't really be called a dodge, such is his lack of eloquence in the gesture). Still, a roll brings him back to his feet in time to gawp up at the Walkin' Dude - and to spy the tell-tale dapple of spores growing on its substantial fingertips.

Inhaling a deep breath as if to align himself with the sort of spirits he wants to channel, Mateo taps into a rarely-touched wellspring of power, and tries to summon them some aid.
Mateo uses his Channelling, trying to call down some air spirits to blow away the forming spores!
