Darts anyone?

Eternum found himself in a bustling tavern, the clamor of merry voices filling the air. His focus, however, was solely on the game of darts before him.

"This game is more challenging than I anticipated."

His aim was anything but accurate. Each toss resulted in a dart thudding into the wooden wall. The target, alas, remained untouched.

"Are these darts enchanted or is it just me?"

The spectators snickered as another dart missed its mark. Eternum, however, seemed unfazed, a grin stretching across his face.

"I suppose I'm more skilled at conjuring sparks than hitting targets."

Even amidst the jeers and laughter, Eternum remained in high spirits. His failures at the game only added to the evening's enjoyment.

Watching from a nearby table, Sola chuckled lightly at the scene unfolding. She found the stranger's determination amusing, his perseverance in the face of the crowd's jesting remarkable. The tavern was alive with laughter and clinking mugs, and yet, the stranger at the dartboard seemed to be the source of the liveliest amusement.

With a lighthearted roll of her eyes, Sola decided to join in the fun. Rising from her chair, she moved through the crowd and picked up one of the discarded darts. Her fingers turned it over, observing its weight and balance.

"Your aim might be off," she said, approaching the stranger with a playful grin. "But your spirit seems to be in the right place. Many would crumble under such scrutiny, yet you smile."

She offered him the dart, its bronze tip glinting in the warm tavern light. "Care to give it another go, stranger? Or would you prefer to do something else for our entertainment?"

Eternum accepted the dart from Sola. He tested the weight in his hand, his gaze locked onto the dartboard.

"Your faith in my aim is truly heartening. Surely you don’t think I’m that bad do you?"

His aim was, predictably, off. The dart lodged itself firmly into the wooden wall. The crowd roared with laughter yet again.

"Ah, another work of art for the wall."

He shrugged, a mirthful grin lighting up his face. He looked at the dart, then at Sola. His smile was infectious, bright amidst the clamoring tavern.

"Perhaps my talents are better suited to less...destructive forms of entertainment."

Sola watched as Eternum accepted the dart, testing its weight with an air of optimism. His words rang clear over the murmur of the tavern and she chuckled, amused by his light-hearted humor.

"Well, your aim certainly paints a vivid picture," she teased, crossing her arms and leaning against the nearest table.

As expected, his throw missed the target again, the dart finding a home in the wooden wall. The crowd erupted into another wave of laughter, their amusement echoing off the tavern walls.

"Another unique contribution to the tavern's decor," Sola observed, joining in Eternum's amusement. His lightheartedness was refreshing amidst the raucous cheer, his grin infectious.

She looked back at him as he suggested a shift in entertainment, a playful smirk dancing on her lips. "I'd say your talent for keeping spirits high is already quite apparent. But by all means, surprise us, stranger. What other forms of entertainment do you propose?"

Eternum caught Sola's gaze and a playful spark danced in his eyes. Extending his arm, he summoned a delicate web of lightning between his fingers.

"A change in scenery might be entertaining."

Electricity flickered, dancing across his skin like a living entity. The display of his abilities silenced the laughter.

"Do you think this compares to dart throwing?"

His manipulation of the sparks mesmerized the tavern-goers. The dartboard was forgotten, replaced by the lively sparks of electricity.

"I've always found the beauty of lightning quite...captivating."

Curling his fingers, Eternum crafted a miniature lightning storm in his palm. The crackling energy drew a collective gasp from the audience.

"It's about how we adapt, isn't it? Just a different way to paint a picture."

Sola's gaze was firmly locked onto Eternum as he extended his arm, his fingers becoming the canvas for a mesmerizing light show. A hush fell over the tavern as the webs of lightning sprang to life, the previous cacophony of laughter replaced by awestruck silence.

"What a delightful shift," Sola murmured, her eyes wide with fascination as she watched the electricity dance. "It seems you have more than one way to command attention."

His query rang clear in the silent tavern, pulling her attention back to his face. "I daresay this is much more impressive than dart throwing. Darts can be picked up by anyone, but what you're doing... This is a gift."

She watched, entranced, as he fashioned a miniature lightning storm in the palm of his hand. The crowd watched in collective awe, they gasped as the bolts of electricity crackled and zipped through the air.

"Indeed," Sola agreed, her voice filled with quiet admiration. "You've proven that one doesn't need a dartboard to captivate a room. Your unique way of painting a picture is...truly captivating."

In the tavern, Eternum held the crowd's attention. A web of lightning danced around his hand, casting a magical glow on his face.

"Lightning has a life of its own, as you can plainly see."

He could see the crowd's fascination. Sola's eyes shone with curiosity and admiration. He manipulated the lightning, crafting a miniature storm in his hand.

"Isn't it fascinating? The raw power, the beauty of lightning. Imagine what a powerful mage could accomplish."

His display of magic drew gasps from the crowd. The lightning danced, crackling and zipping through the air, entrancing the audience.

"I imagine a truly powerful mage could level entire buildings with lightning. Alas, powerful mages are not a dime a dozen."

"You got any other plans tonight?" she added with a smirk.

Sola's reflection hung in the air, the crowd's fascination evident in their silence. He twirled the lightning, increasing the intensity of the mini storm in his hand.

His magic show held everyone's attention. The crackling and zipping of lightning elicited gasps from the audience. Eternum's eyes flickered to Sola, a spark of mischief in his gaze.

"Only the night will tell. You want to accompany me on my adventures tonight?"

As Eternum intensified the lightning show, Sola couldn't help but admire his control over such raw power. "Power and control, indeed," she responded, her gaze still fixated on his hand.

The room seemed to have enough of watching the storm after some time and they went back to their oen things. Eternum's magic performance couldn’t possibly entertain a crowd of people forever now could it? When he turned his eyes to Sola, mischief sparkling in them, she laughed. "I wouldn't miss it for the world," she replied, her enthusiasm evident. "In fact," she continued, raising her mug of ale, "I think this calls for a toast...to tonight's adventure!" She took a long sip, the hearty brew warming her from the inside out.

Eternum's display of lightning magic gradually subsided, leaving an echo of its brilliance in the onlookers' eyes. The tavern returned to its former din, the air still vibrating with the residual energy of his spectacle. He actually thought it was funny how people moved on so quickly. It was hard to keep a bunch of short attention span drunks entertained.

Seeing Sola's animated expression, he felt somewhat happy. As she proposed a toast, he felt his lips stretch into a grin, raising his mug in response. The taste of the brew, the warmth spreading inside him that only heightened his anticipation for the adventures to come.

"Let the night be filled with unexpected surprises. Let’s get DRUNK!"

The buzz of the tavern surrounded her, the lively chatter and clinking glasses painting a warm picture of camaraderie and mirth. Sola, feeling a lingering thrill from the magic display earlier, found herself sporting a broad grin. Holding up her own mug, she echoed his sentiment, "and don’t forget strong ale!" She could already feel the promise of an adventure-filled evening beckoning her, the liquid warmth of the brew amplifying her anticipation. She was already sort of feeling drunk. She walked over and tried to put her arm around Eternum. She wondered what kind of stuff they might get up to.

Surrounded by the energetic bustle of the tavern, Eternum couldn't help but share Sola's contagious enthusiasm. His own mug raised high, he mirrored her sentiment with a hearty nod.

"Indeed, strong ale!"

Sola's arm draped around him, her bubbly spirit adding to the excitement of the evening. Eternum found himself pondering what they ought to do next.

Eternum opted to pick up another few darts and throw them with even worse accuracy than before. He was starting to get so drunk that he couldn’t even tell where the dart had gone. People cleared out of the way so that they wouldn’t get poked in the eye.

The ale was a merry friend, its golden glow fueling her evening in the tavern. A peculiar warmth spread through her, not entirely from the drink, as she peered through the amber haze of her cup. The man next to seemed to shimmer through her ale-tinted vision, even more captivating than before. Could it be the drink, or was he always this good-looking? The beer goggles were in full effect, transforming the already attractive Eternum into an absolutely irresistible sight.

“I think you missed again," she slurred, her voice just as bubbly as her mood. Her gaze lingered on Eternum, taking in the enchanting picture he made. Whether it was the effect of the ale or Eternum's radiant charisma, Sola couldn't tell.
