For Naught [Sola + Eternum]

Sola perched on the edge of a quaint wooden bed in the cozy room of the inn. The dim light from the corner lantern illuminated the soft details around her, casting an intimate glow. Nervousness bubbled within her. She felt the weight of the day's events, the excitement, and the unfamiliarity of it all lingering within her. Her fingers traced absent patterns on the worn quilt beneath her. She took in a slow breath, her mind a whirl of thoughts. Eternum watched Sola, sitting on the edge of the bed in the softly lit room. He could see she was a bundle of nerves, all twitchy and stuff.

"Hey, are you okay?"

He was feeling like he had walked into a play halfway through.

"All this... it's pretty intense, isn't it?"

He tried to sound reassuring, scratching his head a bit.

"Sorry," she murmured, her gaze dropping to her hands in her lap. "I didn't mean to interrupt." She definitely meant to interrupt but she was going to pretend otherwise.
