At last, a pale sun emerges after a season of bleak darkness and troubled skies. For the majority of Caido - disregarding the extremes of hot and cold in Hak Etme, the Climb and Halo - this is a time where trees begin to bud and blossom, where the days are crisp and cool, but promise brightness and jubilance to come. Only... something is off, this year. In Torchline and King's End, it is as though Deepfrost has not ended at all. Cool, moody days persist on the beaches, and deep snow continues to plague the area beyond the Boondocks. How strange..
Character of the Season
Arriving in Caido from a world not terribly different from this one, Darkeye has hit the ground running. From trying to document an unbiased account of the war, investigating murders and fighting landsharks, this former-dwarf hasn't let being a stranger in a strange land stop him from doing what he has thought best. Even though he has lived far longer than he looks, Darkeye still has many years to go (so long as one of the gods don't smite him for his fielty to his own god, Kor).
