With the close of Leafchange, the temperature rapidly plummets and the snows roll in. The world is blanketed with white, bringing crisp, cold days and deadly nights. Snowstorms are not uncommon as the winds crest and fall, and keeping light and warmth is a priority for all those who wish to see the end of Longnight in the Hollowed Grounds. Elsewhere, the dark end to the season is a time of quiet reflection, rather than danger.

Character of the Season

From a world of magic and unimaginable trials, Jigano came to Caido as a humble bard forced to start over. Knowing no one, through storytelling and song Jigano established himself as a fount of knowledge drawing on his complex backstory to help those around him. Starting the extremely successful Loreseekers Guild, participating in a revolution, and weaving himself into the narrative of all of the Hollowed Grounds most interesting plotlines, anywhere Jigano goes, intrigue and adventure are sure to follow!

Court of the Fallen was created in October of 2018 by Odd, Honey, and Crooked.

During the opening of CotF in November 2018 a number of characters were transitioned from an amazing site called The Wall, run by Lyla and Eloell. Without TW many of our beloved characters would have never existed and we are so thankful to Lyla and El for giving them their start and giving us a great place to write!

The Outskirts - Rules

While subtle, there is a definite border between the Hollowed Ground and the land beyond. Once a magical barrier separated the Grounds from the rest of Caido, but it has since been removed. Now there is only a barren scar in the earth that indicates where it once was.

Ascended Safehouse Shrine While the Outskirts are the most dangerous of the areas around the Spire, there is also fertile ground here. Soft earth and vegetable patches abound, making it an attractive place to grow crops. There are also a few herds of animals roaming.

Woodland
Shrine Dense thickets of skeletal woodland border the Fields. Good for picking mushrooms, herbs and wildflowers.
