Tanglefoot - Rules


Deep within the jungle, the ground is blanketed with sentient vines which tug and pull at all those attempting to explore, interspersed with rivers and streams that spider out like veins towards the ocean. Travellers who are agile and lightfooted enough may be able to dance their way across - or better yet, step upon the swathes of vines so that they might lift them higher. Some have even succeeded in living in the trees for a time, using the vines as their (albeit risky) walkways.

Shrine
High up in the trees above Tanglefoot, a humble shrine has been created as a way to offer thanks to Rae/Frey for sparing those within Oerwoud the harsh conditions of the outside world.

Leap of Faith
Travel far enough up through the jungle, above the trees and into the clouds, and you will come upon the Leap of Faith. A glorious cliffside bleached white with the sun, all of Oerwould can be seen from its peaks. Beware, however - directly below lays nothing but dense mist. Artists travel from all across Caido to stand at the edge of the Leap - it is said that either inspiration will strike them, or they will be overcome with despair.

The Mistbanks
Far below the Leap of Faith lies a glassy lake, deep and still and tranquil. Thick white fog envelops the area, making it difficult to tell how large the body of water truly is, but friendly encantados are rumoured to help travellers navigate to safety should they get lost. Merfolk can gain access to this lake via underwater tunnels within Rae’s Fingers in Torchline.
