Outer Islands - Rules


Formerly a sprawl of grassland, this collection of small islands is scattered along the northwest of the Hollowed Grounds. The soil is fertile for those willing and able to till it, but space is understandably limited. With very little cover from trees or inclines, on a clear day, one might be able to see right across the islands.

Bone Bridges
A series of bridges connects the islands of the Hollowed Grounds, ensuring that no area is left in isolation. Some of the bridges are named for the bleached nature of their stones, while others are crafted from literal skeletons; even parts of ghostwhales or the shells of tulmhainar can be found in their construction. Regardless, every bridge spans some 10ft across to allow for carts to cross, and bears a waist-high railing to avoid tumbles into the water.

Jack Tar Landing
A sprawling docks dominates the southwest corner of the Hollowed Grounds, with space enough for even the largest vessels to drop anchor. A small, shanty marketplace decorates the fringes of the area, allowing sailors to refresh themselves with food and drink before heading back out to sea. Riverboats may also be hired here, for those wishing to enjoy a trip through the Hollowed Grounds on the water rather than on foot.
