Character Information
AppearanceShe is relatively short but carries herself with a height befitting royalty, thus many perceive her to be larger than she really is. She is careful and deliberate with her actions, moving at her own pace. With Neoma's youth long gone, gone also are her erratic and obvious ticks and quirks. Neoma moves like a steadily flowing stream. She looks those she speaks in the eye and lingers as long as she desires. Her body may seem brittle and tepid, but she moves with the assurance of a mountain lion. Because she no longer has a need for shelter, as an Ancient, her attention towards a lavish appearance has increased. Whenever she sees a new attire befitting her tastes, she will not hesitate to snatch it for herself. PersonalityNeoma's brilliant indifference also seems to garner respect from whoever she meets. Her tact and charisma have always provided her an advantage, hiding whatever ill-intents she may have with stories of grandeur and high-moralist tales. A woman for others by day, and a slinking, ravenous serpent by night. She is a people person, able to speak the praises of whomever she encounters and at the same time, holds a grave distrust for all, knowing very intimately the inadequacies of all rational-kind. Neither does she suffer from being alone, but at the scent of another in her vicinity, she will heed to the gravity of another. Be it due to her ego or her bloodlust, Neoma cares very little to make the distinction. HistoryThus Neoma accepted the favor bestowed on her and the reality that no one was ever curious enough to learn her and her father's truth. Her father specialized in all aspects of the human spirit, from enlightenment, to conjuring, to healing and to securing passageway to the next life. Yet, he also revealed to Neoma that many of his practices were also based in manipulating human weakness and need for a narrative to have them escape their dreary existences. Thus, Neoma was exposed to both true miracles and to sheer human stupidity. Long after her father passed away, Neoma continued his practice. Taking for herself a partner as well, who supported her in the ways a man ought. Yet it was this very act of trusting one outside her and her father's tight bond that caused her demise. Unlike her father, Neoma was not successful in delivering to her partner the harsh truths of their practice, and so after years of deferring his own emotions out of love for her, her partner could no longer take it. Neoma was betrayed by her very lover and exposed for the parts of her practice that he could not reconcile. Thus, in a last ditch attempt to save her life, Neoma remembered of a prayer that could conjure the aid of a deity, though her father expressed her never to ask for such a thing. Upon finishing the ritual, Neoma fell to her knees at the foot of the Goddess Dygra, and begged for her favor. Yet, paralyzed by her past, she succumbed to the stony prison of her Ancient, Rock Slider form. Over the years, she'd awaken bathed by the occasional lava spurt or forest fire. Her heart still broken, she'd slowly age, watching the world go by, only to return to her stony prison. Only now have the stirrings in her heart brought about the desire to try again. To breathe again. And maybe, even to love again. Long after everything she knew had faded. OtherFatherly figures, she only has one. Sons, she has an aversion to (her previous husband acted as such most the time.) She always wanted a brother, though. Bonus if like her Father, but doesn’t compete with his image. Motherly figures, she never had one and she feels abandoned by her. Sisters only seek to remind her she’s flawed and wounded and bring out her competetive spirit. She wants a daughter to learn from her the things she never got to pass on. A rough estimate of this character's damage potential is as follows:
