Character of the Season
Frail in body but dangerously quick of mind, Nikandr is the sort of character who proves that curiosity can be just as perilous as any weapon. A necromancer, inventor, and problem-solver with more ambition than self-preservation, Niki approaches the world like a puzzle box begging to be opened, even when what’s inside has teeth. Blunt, dry-witted, fiercely independent, and carrying a history best left partially buried, he has a knack for making even failure feel fascinating. Whether he’s raising the dead, moving across Caido to King's End, or experiencing a hangover for the first time, Nikandr brings a wonderfully strange spark to Caido, and we can’t wait to see what trouble his brilliant mind wanders into next.
Congratulations, Niki!

"Right? And neither Halo nor King's End has even done anything, and they're still perfectly fine." The queen adds, raising her eyebrows for emphasis. Sure, Halo was an abominable wasteland of cold in her opinion, so she could see why Dahlia and the Family might want to avoid it, but King's End? It was lush. "Did I tell you I met with Dahlia?" Frowning, not able to keep all of her meetings in line anymore, the queen shrugs and continues on regardless. "And honestly? It all went fine."
Though it would turn out that not only had Danta met an infected but had also fucked one, for the moment Flora simply shrugs and nods. "I know someone who is, and he's...I mean, you'd honestly not know." Not unless you'd met Everest before and could see the improvement in his personality, that was. "Yeah, I mean...Dahlia said that being a Friend of the Family came with a bunch of perks, so...I can see someone wanting to do it."
The mere mention of Halo has Danta scrunching his nose behind another healthy sip of his cocktail, and that in itself ought to be enough to understand his opinion on Caido's frozen asshole of a region. He'd not want to go there either, if he were the Family. Flora is still right, though, and he crosses his long legs under the table as she continues. "You did not," he croons with all the excitement of a gay best friend, eyebrows raising before promptly falling again once he realises the meeting was little more than fine.
Which, yes, when you consider it was with Dahlia is actually incredibly interesting, but still. Danta, Dygra, chaos. Can you blame him?
"I can see it too, though if anyone asked me, I'd say no. I've already got enough family," he says with a smirk, setting his glass back down. His goddess, for all of her entropic ways, still likely wouldn't enjoy a purple-hued interloper in her midst. "Good for you, though. I bet half those demigods wouldn't have been able to meet with her."

"Mmmhmmmm. After that whole disaster at the midwinter ball. We had drinks at my tavern once LongNight was over." Flora explains, and while it isn't the most salacious bit of gossip, it's nevertheless the sort of thing that has the queen beaming with pride over.
Giving the Maverick a look—Flora didn't know enough about the ancients even after having flirted with nearly every single one she came into contact with to know how much they considered themselves a family—the queen shrugs and likewise takes a long sip of her drink.
"Thank youuuuuuu." Lifting a shoulder and beaming beneath his praise, the Doubletake lifts her glass in order to snatch the last of the cherries lingering at the bottom with her teeth. "Not bad." She hums of the cocktail, thinking that if it was made with dark rum rather than with vodka it'd go down a treat in Torchline. Setting her glass down, Flora slides off of her stool and leans to press another kiss against the Maverick's cheek. "I better get this little guy back." She says, nodding toward the jar. "Thanks for getting it for me."
Doubting that Danta would be one for long drawn out goodbyes, the queen reaches for the jar (wherein the creature gives an agitated buzz), before pressing her compass and disappearing back to Torchline.
